Doc1647545523
Who got snow this morning? I know doc did. According to the National Weather Service, you're wrong again, Jeffro Ganahl. No accumulation in Columbus: http://www.nohrsc.nws.gov/nearest/index.html?city=columbus%2C+OH&county=&l=5&u=e&y=2012&m=2&d=4 No accumulation in Delaware: http://www.nohrsc.nws.gov/nearest/index.html?city=Delaware%2C+ohio Are you still using your high altitude weather maps as your source for what's happening on the ground? Doc1647545523
Come to mention it, it WAS pretty white when I opened my eyes. IIRC I woke up this morning face down in a pile of blow spread across a 19 year old hooker's back.

GSXRAntwon
:funny: No snow in the next eight days in central Ohio, let alone snow that you'd need to use a snowblower on. I'm callin' you out on this one, Jeff. Got some $$$ to wager that there'll be no measureable snow in Columbus in the next 8 days? YO GON HAFTA PAY UP SUCKA

Doc1647545523
Let's see what the official Port Columbus accumulation total is before you declare yourself the winner. It's looking like just a trace to me. Official NWS total will be online tomorrow.

Doc1647545523
What I'm holding onto are the terms of the wager. We didn't agree to accept a photograph that you took at a random location. I would think you'd be aware that the National Weather Service in Wilmington tracks a daily climatological report of readings from Port Columbus. The bet in the thread was that there would be no accumulation of snow at Port Columbus above a trace. Your claim was that we would be needing snowblowers for this week and next, but that wasn't the bet. Here's a link to the climatological report for Feb 7th, and it also lists the month-to-date accumulation total: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/climate/getclimate.php?date=&wfo=iln&sid=CMH&pil=CLI&recent=yes&specdate=2012-02-08+05%3A34%3A06 As you can read, it shows only a trace for all of February. Today's snow accumulation will be added to that and reported tomorrow. Maybe today's snow will be more than a trace, maybe not. If it's more than a trace, you win the bet. If it isn't, then you have until the end of the agreed period to still win. In response to your question, as I look out my window, I see a light dusting of snow and on cars and some spotty snow in the shrubs and between the green blades of grass. Roads and sidewalks are just wet here. It's snowing lightly and melting as it hits. Sorry to hear that you've been hit by a big accumulation. I am pretty close to Port Columbus and I can tell you right now just by looking out the window.... you are going to lose.
