smokin5s
this is in a 2003 Nissan Maxima. I checked the fuses under the dash and it appears to be good... any idea what could cause this? When I try to use it for the first time, I hear a click, then nothing... then the rest of the time I'm driving, I hear nothing else.... CRed05
I'm going to go ahead and guess that this is what you need to do http://www.ehow.com/how_4520008_replace-turn-signal-relay-nissan.html
smokin5s
does it use 1 or 2 relays? Any idea where I can get that relay local?
smokin5s
one thing I forgot to mention is I installed a radio (with backup camera) in the car last night. I don't see how that would have anything to do wth the turn signals except that I unplugged the hazard switch.
smokin5s
Google Searching is telling me it's the Hazard switch... anyone with a 5th Gen Maxima want to meet up so I can test my theory before ordering a replacement hazard switch? 99FLHRCI
Have you checked that it is plugged in all the way (no wires backed out or bent pins)? Not impossible but seems funny that it worked fine, you unplugged it and plugged it back in and it is bad.
smokin5s
I was just thinking that... I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. I don't hear it snap into place if that make sense, so I will pull it out and look for bent pins. I did order one online and pay the ridiculous fees for expidition... I don't like the idea of driving a car without turn signals as well as don't want a ticket for failure to signal. I don't think it's a relay issue because the hazards work
99FLHRCI
Just to prove me wrong...I replaced the bulb in the climate display in the wife's car yesterday. Today she got home and told me the clock display light was out. All I did was unplug it and plug it back in, no way it's out...sure enough the bulb was out.
