I replaced a lot of stone steps with concrete because the shit doesn't hold up well to Ohio's shittastic weather. Even with the mortar (grout or whatever the hell they put between em), there's still a lot of voids for ice to get in and expand during a freeze/thaw cycle. I just depends how long you want it to last, or how long you actually give a fuck. I just don't like stone/brick, but then again I'm in the concrete biz. If so I used to live in the shithole apartment complex that shares the parking lot with it. I'm sure you guys did great work, but from what I heard that entire house was in pretty bad disrepair.
