gt-titan Posted February 12, 2012 Report Share Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) if i put aftermarket valve covers on my motor with each cover having a breather filter can i just due away with the pcv valve and block off the tube to the carb..i dont remember if i can or not... Cordell Posted February 12, 2012 Report Share Posted February 12, 2012 I wouldn't run with out PCV, having a vacuum on the crankcase does a lot more then just vent, it keeps any pressure from building up. gt-titan Posted February 12, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 12, 2012 so do they make a fitting to fit in the valve cover to use a pcv... i know the race motor we ran had no pcv valve.i guess ill take the valve cover to o reilly"s and see if i can fig it out... gt-titan Posted February 14, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 14, 2012 ok well i checked with a few people i know and i called the guy who use to build my our race motor and they all said the same thing..it is better for your motor if u have breathers..they said the motor will breath better also....thanks for the help guys...
