Ryan218 Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 bought the gf a 2007 jetta about 20 days ago and guess what. pos is acting up already. on the way to look at a mustang it decided to die on 270. no warning no warning lights on the dash. now the weird part. then it does this the whole dash dies. then when turning the key back to the on position no lights will come on. ( how all the warning lights cycle when the key is first turned to on ) cycle it for a while or just wait a few mins and then lights will come back a start again. but die again shortly after. very frustrated seeing how i just spent 12k on this car. its a 2007 wolfsburg jetta with the 2.5 and 6 speed auto. anyone have any clue what this could be? im thinking short of some sort, lose ground, or maybe the ecu? did check one thing. battery has 12v while running putting out 14.4 so seems as the alternator is doing its job. could a dead cell in the battery cause this?
