Furniture Building

I have posted a lot of pictures of my remodeling. Well, the living room is almost done.

Finally got a TV stand built to replace the shitty Cragslist one we had for 5 years. Started it in April, but then life (house and marriage) got in the way.

Specs:

-Solid Maple except the inside shelves are 3/4 ply

-Dark brown dye finish

-Sprayed on the poly finish

-Rabbit and pocket joints

-Dado top to hide end grain

-Cushion stops for doors

-Glass is from Franklin Glass in German Village

-Hidden holes for wire runs (I hate wires drapped all over the floor behind it)

-About $275 in materials

Also installed some in-wall speakers. I picked up the Axiom speakers and they sound great. I will get a full surround later, need to let the wife warm up to these first.

Also replaced my cardboard fireplace doors with some real ones, easy to install myself:
