Rocky31186
The wife and I went on a quick getaway over the weekend for my birthday. Kind of like a vacation on a budget. We first went to Somerset PA to stay in a bed and breakfast. (Of which I would not suggest this place to anyone because it sucked. VERY cold in the rooms, free breakfast tasted like crap. We actually only stayed one night instead of the 3 we reserved.) Georgian Inn of Somerset PA Went to the Flight 93 memorial, the Windmill farm, and some other places. We came to the conclusion you can see everything in Somerset in one day. After Somerset we went to Hershey PA. Wife wanted to see the chocolate factories they always talk about on the food channel. Took the chocolate world tour, and a tour around town. We found that there is a lot of great history with the Hershey company. He was not a selfish man at all. And to this day they board and school up to 2000 underprivelaged kids. So here are some of my 125 shots over the weekend. http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2497.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2511.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2505.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2523.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2556.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2563.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2572.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2573.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2587.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2590.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2594.jpg Edited March 13, 2012 by Rocky31186

Rocky31186
The 93 memorial is very cool We thought so too... Its only in stage 1 or something so its still not finished I guess. The road to get to where it is, is like 3.5 miles long and 25mph.. not much to look at, so hopefully they will put some stuff along the road to look at. The park rangers were very knowledgable about the people that were on the plane and what happend inside the plane. He knew each person, where they were from. And one of the ladies on the plane wasn't suppose to be on that plane.

99FLHRCI
We found that there is a lot of great history with the Hershey company. He was not a selfish man at all. And to this day they board and school up to 2000 underprivelaged kids. He may have been but the company is far from great. Look up Hershey Indentured Servitude. There are plenty of sites about it. They bring foreign students over and basically force them to live and work there.
Tractor
That second windmill shot and the shot of the flower at the memorial really stand out. Nice work.

TTQ B4U
^^ What everyone said. From a technical standpoint, try and watch your Aperture setting. Many of the shots are over f/8 which is very likely outside the sweet spot of your lens. It will introduce diffusion. It's also highlighting the dust on your sensor. There's nice string or hair at the top of the shots. Could also be the lens. Check that first. Otherwise, looks like you did well and had fun! I was messing a lot with the aperture settings.. It was either too bright or too dark. Too bright and washed out the picture, or too dark. It was VERY Bright at the Memorial. The dirt must be on the sensor as I swapped to my other lens, and I see it in all of the pictures.

Rocky31186
Here are a couple other photo's I forgot to post.. Just realized I didnt straiten them, oh well There was more construction going on in Hershey than downtown columbus. And I have the photoshop trial right now, I couldnt figure out how to get rid of all the construction shit in the street sign picture.. The chandelier Picture I probably took 50 of... I could not get my settings right to capture how nice they were. I guess they are old Australian chandeliers. They were like looking at diamond rings. So this is my Fail attempt at getting it.. It was very dark in the room. Without a Tripod they were mostly blurry. And the old bridge. There were a handful of old bridges in Somerset. This picture was taken through the windshield though.. http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2651.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2622.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2618.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/DSC_2543.jpg
