'97 Mercury Grand Marquis - $3000

My parents want to sell one of their cars. It's a 97 Mercury Grand Marquis. It's loaded. Towing package (has a hitch that towed their 18 Larson boat with ease). It does have the air suspension but I think it's starting to flake out. It doesn't sag that bad on the ground but I think it's starting too. The "check air suspension" light pops on now and then. V8. 4.6 liter I believe. 160k ALL highway miles. My Dad was a salesman and he traveled throughout Ohio pretty much Monday - Friday. He's had parkinsons for the past 8 or so years and he hasn't really driven the car barely at all the past 2-3 years. It's had probably 160k on it for the last 5 years. Btw, they sold the boat back in '99 so it probably towed the boat maybe a total of 20 times if that. All leather interior, full digital dash, power seats up front. Can probably fit several dead bodies in the back with the size of the trunk. Everything is pretty much immaculate on the car (inside and out). The tires are probably 5 years old but have not even 5k miles on them. There is some surface rust starting on the wheel well ( see pic).

 

They're looking to get $3,000 out of it. They're my parents so please don't lowball the shit out of me or them.

 

I did go to start it and the battery was dead. It will probably need to be replace and will be before the car is bought.

Sorry to hear about the parkisons..my dad had it a hellva man and ate him up.. it's horrible to watch.
