07 CR-V need the A/C looked at

I have an 07 CR-V that probably just needs a recharge or something.

 

Where should I take it because I have a feeling the dealer will rape me. :no:

Ive seen the condensors go bad on those, as the bottom of them are kind of out in the open.. Rocks and crap shooting in there. Check for a greasy build up on it.

 

I dont have an AC machine or I would hook you up..

If it is the compressor, make sure they replace the whole system. This was a common problem on the 03-04 crvs, the AC compressor implodes and contaminate the whole system. Even if you replace the compressor, metal shards from the previous compressor will screw up the new one.

Not the same type of failure. And you can't replace things under warranty that haven't failed.

So apparently it is indeed the compressor and all related parts in the system. Would have cost $800 but will be covered under warranty. :fuckyeah:
