Anyone have a scanner that will read abs codes?

I'm glad you're going to get the codes scanned before throwing WSSs (Wheel Speed Sensor) at it because it can just as easily be something in the modulator. Less likely the modulator can also receive an inhibit flag via CAN or have some other plausibility issue. Depending on the construction of the WSS, if the reluctor ring is removable they can sometimes get out of alignment and it can cause a weak or non-existent signal.

An easy thing to check can be the wiring from the WSS into the body. It probably is the #1 place for issues, generally speaking, since it's in the wheel well and easy to physically damage. I knicked one on my old S4, or maybe it just got knicked, I can remember exactly since it's been so long. It wasn't even cut all of the way through, just slightly damaged, and it caused a weak/strange signal.
