Final displacement of the motor will be 2.1L, and the car is expected to see 8,000 rpms and 23 psi of boost. Since this is a different build than the majority of Ecotec LSJ owners, the total power rating is unknown but expected to be around 440-450 whp, 350-370 wtq. The a/c is still in the car, as is the full interior and spare tire. Motor is almost complete, waiting on the head to return from the machine shop, then it's just assembly.

Other than the front fascia, car looks clean.

Only thing you need now is the RWD conversion. ;)

What are you hoping to squeak out of her?

13's 12's?

There's a guy with a Cobalt SS/SC that went 12.007 @ 118 on slicks on 70 fewer hp than what I am expecting. I'm hoping to break that and get in the mid-high 11's. :)

I know it's not got the prettiest face, but it's stock body kit, and it was 18k brand new... Hard to say no to that cheap price.

And man, I wish it was RWD/AWD...

In all honesty, the gauge cluster is perfectly fine. It takes about a day to get used to it, and then you don't ever even notice that it's not in the traditional location. People made too big of a deal out of it. I actually kind of prefer it in the center now. The reviews were not good for the ION because the gauges were "awkwardly placed," but yet in the Toyota Yaris, it was "cool and quirky."

Don't worry, we think you are cool and quirky too!

Lol thanks...:masturboy:

Cool build, my buddy on here has a Blue Ion, turbo... Makes some nice numbers.

Think I might remember that one.

Zzpperformance turbo kit lots of extras 407 whp 445 wtq

Yep.. I thought about that route, but I could reach my goals staying supercharged. Any more than 400-450 whp in a FWD car is pointless anyway unless you're running DR's all the time.

I have a good set of summer tires on it, those mentioned above, but with this much power on a fwd car, I'm probably not going anywhere without a set of street-legal DR's for weekend nights and track days. Not sure what brand yet tho.

Neat build, car looks much more mature.

Thanks man.

Jones, let the dead car company car owners fight amongst themselves.

Srs, sounds like a very cool build.

Thanks, that was actually very funny.

Haha. If I can use it. I'll take it. Just let me know.

I'll throw together a list at some point and let you know.
