Rocky31186
Went to blacklick woods for a walk with the wife. Also stopped the old movie theater parking lot off brice / 70. For some other random shots. http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/junerandom.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/junerandom3.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/junerandom4.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/junerandom5.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/junerandom7.jpg http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/junerandom2.jpg

Tractor
I agree 2's really nice. 1 is pretty cool too, even with the spot coloring. For practice you should see how it looks in b/w with deep blacks, high contrast, and then dodge/burn the hydrant to make it really pop. Then for effect, use some edge darkening and unsharping to all the corners. Not really vignetting, but sort of a manually added vignette. iwishiwascool
Agree, I kind of hate spot coloring. It feels so 2006 or Picknik or Schindler's List.

You have permission to edit my photo to show me.. As this is still a learning curve for me.. The black and white / color didnt look great to me, but didnt know what else to do.. http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr133/probin007/junerandomedit.jpg
iwishiwascool
I'd have shot it at f1.8-f2.8 with a 50mm crop assuming you were about 6' away. The bokeh on the background would have established it as the focal point. I dig the natural light though, no need for reflectors or multi-strobes on that. So no F1.8 for me.. :megusta:
iwishiwascool
Boo... $200 for nikon and $100 for Cannon. It was the best lens I've ever bought OR rented. It'll change your life.
Rocky31186
Yeah, I've already established that I need to upgrade.. I bought a 200mm lens which has came handy.. But I think more of my photos are up close.. So I need to save some cash for another lens..
