Alex L.
Picked up a new regulator today to start back back purging my steel and stainless welds. This was my first attempt on some steel roll cage tube with stainless filler. Notice how, while I didn't achieve full penetration, the inside of the pipe is free of sugaring and oxidation: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Backpurge1.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Backpurge2.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Backpurge3.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/Backpurge4.jpg Overall pretty satisfied for my first time doing this. Alex L.
Thanks guys. I don't think the people at Reynold's Wrap ever anticipated their product being used in this fashion.

Alex L.
Got started on this project today, fitting a 2JZ-GTE intake manifold plenum onto 2JZ-GE runners. Got all the preliminary work done today before I realized I was out of the tungsten I needed. Mirror finish weld and flangesurfaces: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/DSC_0463.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/DSC_0464.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/DSC_0468.jpg Port-matched and polished plenum: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/14biggy/IMG_20121113_204120.jpg And they said it couldn't be done. Fubar231
Whats the benefits of using the GE runners on the GTE plenum?
Alex L.
The GTE plenum is forward-facing, which allows for better charge pipe routing and free reign of the entire topside of the motor.

I know the GTE Plenum is forward facing and the GE plenum isnt, but why are you using GE runners on the GTE plenum instead of GTE runners. Are they longer/shorter/bigger or something? Alex L.
It's going on a GE head I'd assume, I'm not 100% sure though. Customer request and I don't ask more questions than I need to.

Are they longer/shorter/bigger or something? The runner spacing is different between the gte and ge heads so the gte runners will not mate to the ge head. This would be the most affordable route to getting a front facing manifold on a ge head.
