ImUrOBGYN
Looking good, man. And I'm still keeping you in mind for that lower I/C pipe I need made. I've just gotta list of other priorities at the moment. Hell, wouldn't know how to get it to you anyway. You'd have to visit me. Been doing some welding myself, (getting pretty decent), but no experience with aluminum.
Alex L.
Once you have some experience under your belt, aluminum's actually easier than anything else to weld.
Alex L.
Had a little extra time today so I decided to dick around with a different bevel on some extra schedule 40 I had: Not super thrilled with the penetration, it's too much. However, knowledge rarely comes without experimentation.

MKIV
Are those GE or GTE valve covers?
Alex L.
They started out as GTE covers, the GE ones aren't usable for the fabricated covers as they're made out of magnesium.
MKIV
Do these bolt on to the GE head? The obvious benefits for the GE are aesthetics when going NA-T. What would be the benefits for a GTE?
Alex L.
Do these bolt on to the GE head? The obvious benefits for the GE are aesthetics when going NA-T. What would be the benefits for a GTE? They are a bolt-on application for both 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE engines. They're mainly an aesthetic modification for both engines.
