GSXRAntwon
Funny thing is you could put an LS in for cheaper, make almost the same power, and be lighter
BrendanB
That 2002 has 1000+rwhp according to a SpeedHunters article on Gatebill this past weekend. The E34 must spin the tires with absolute ease with that massive motor, now!

Otis Nice
I still don't see how anyone can get excited about DRIFTING... The same way people get stiffies to drive in a straight line for 10-15 seconds. :dumb:

The same way people get stiffies to drive in a straight line for 10-15 seconds. :dumb: Agreed but at least they aren't trying to "just" spin tires for 1/4 of a mile... :dumb:
BIGGU
I still don't see how anyone can get excited about DRIFTING... dont knock it till you try it. seriously try it some time and not in a beat dick truck, you might even enjoy it. its obviously not for everyone but until you try it you wont understand it. BrendanB
got a link to the article? It was in one of these Gatebill articles, don't remember which one. This one mentions that it's 2JZ powered though; it's compared to an S50 Turbo motor in another article, I believe that's where I saw the power figure. http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/07/gatebil-rudskogen-event-review/
Otis Nice
Agreed but at least they aren't trying to "just" spin tires for 1/4 of a mile... :dumb: Drag ratakes fewer turns than NASCAR. lol But seriously, I don't prefer one over the other. I'm not building a track car or a drag queen, so whatever. Just comes down to personal preference. CR was founded on drag racing. Of course the majority here would find drifting boring. Hell, for years there was like 1 autocrosser on the site. Now I see more talk of it.

I consider Golf a sport because there's a score set on quantified skill metrics (number of strokes) but gymnastics is not a sport, drifting, no, synchronized swimming no...Those are merely games
