King of Columbus Ultra Cool Procharged 1969 Camaro

There were tons of really cool cars at the King of Columbus event at National Trails last Friday night. Kyle's 1969 Camaro was by far my favorite of all the cars at the event. If you haven't seen this car up close it deserves a few minutes of your time and it retains the feeling of a factory 1969 Camaro Z28. Jeff Dean told me that when Kyle picked up this car he couldn't believe that Kyle would actually buy it because it is in such poor shape.

The rumor is that Kyle and his father have been working on the car for quite some time and they are still shaking the car down and fine tuning the setup. Friday night he ran very low 5's and it looks like Kyle's Camaro might have high 4 second potential...it is an AMAZING car and a very well thought out combination. The fact that it retains a passenger seat is very cool and the way he ran his intercooler lines is another neat touch. If you get a chance to see this car up close I think you will be impressed with the attention to detail.

John - Jeff was there and he spent quite a big of time at Kyle's trailer hanging out with a few of the Lancaster boys. I talked with Jeff for 15-20 minutes and it sounds like he is into the diesel scene in a big way. I remember Jeff's Vega well and I have a feeling you and I may have met back in the late 1980's early 1990's. At that time I had a blown 79 Camaro tubbed / red. Did you work at Jegs back when JJ was there?

Wagner - I agree and I LOVE IT! In my eyes it was the most impressive car of all the cars at the event. Lutz's car is insane but it is not a street car in my eyes, Parker's car is wicked cool and crazy fast but Kyle's car is a serious surprise. I saw it from a distance and pulled a serious rubber neck and headed right for his pit area for a closer look. I probably visited his car 3 different times Friday night.

I dont know if I remember JJ. I worked there in 94-95. We probably have met. I was also the track photographer at Pacemakers for a couple of years and I raced with James Wyatt and Tom DiVito all the time. I think I do remember your car. Ha Ha what a small world.

Awesome shot

It reminds me of Nick Scavo's 69 Camaro but Scavo had purple stripes. http://www.knoxcountyohio.com/agent_files/Cool%20Cars/NIck%20Scavo%201969%20Camaro.jpg

Thats the first thing I said when I sen it. We raced with those guys a little bit around 1999. We had a gold nova (It was my buddy Dave Ward's car), that we raced EZ Street with. Back when Gary Rowe was dominating with that light blue fox body.
