caseyctsv
The "periodic maintenance" light is on in my wife's Volvo C70 as it was due for an oil change. I took care of the oil but cannot find the right instructions to reset the light on line. I found instructions up to a 2007 or 08 but, to this point, they don't work for our 09. Is a reset tool needed?
Cordell
Here's what all data says, try this, Note: All doors, hood and trunk are required to be closed in order to perform this procedure successfully. Note: Please refer to Description of the Ignition Modes (Ignition Switch Positions) for additional information on Ignition Modes (Ignition Switch Positions) See: Maintenance Required Lamp/Indicator > Reset Procedure > Description of the Ignition Modes (Ignition Switch Positions) Hint: It is also possible to reset the service reminder indicator via VIDA vehicle communication.Resetting the service reminder indicator (SRI)The service reminder indicator (SRI) informs the driver that it is time for the vehicle to be serviced. The text message is displayed for 120 seconds each time the ignition is switched on. Proceed as follows to reset the service reminder indicator (SRI): - Ignition position I - Press and hold in the reset button for the trip odometer - Ignition position II. Note! Turn the key to position II within 2 seconds. - Hold the reset button for the trip odometer pressed in until the original value has been reset - The information lamp lights when the reset button must be released - Release the reset button for the trip odometer within 4 seconds. If the reset button for the trip odometer is not released within 4 seconds, the service reminder indicator (SRI) is not reset.
caseyctsv
This sounds like the procedure I went through but I had the driver door open. Did not think of that. Will have to try that when I get home. Thanks Scott.
