books/reading material for making plastic parts

Since I figured there are a few engineers here, it's worth a shot. Can anyone recommend books/websites for diy construction of either thermoplastic or ABS plastic parts?

thanks.

The only ABS plastic that I have seen formed is an ABS backed acrylic at a tub/shower manufacturing plant. They thermo form the sheet and then spray chopped glass/filled resin on the back side of the part for strength. The thermo forming is done by a large machine, heated to ~ 300 then vacuum is pulled on the sheet to form it over the mold.

I have no experience with thermoplastics, but work with thermoset materials.

What are you looking to do?

I have to make a 1x1x11.5 rectangle for the outside and same shape for the bottom . I am leaning towards injection molding due to any shape is possible for base to hold various things/electrical components, but vacuum forming like hot tubs looks a lot simpler to the top part.
