starkmaster03
I'm thinking about going out and buying a drill press today. What brands are recommended. What to should I look for when buying one. Anyone have one that they are thinking of getting rid of?

starkmaster03
Go look at the new menards on broad. They had a few. I actually looked at those last night and they had a stand up model for $200 but I wasn't familiar with the name. I also found this at tractor supply which I'm thinking about unless I buy something used. I've found a few Jet and Delta presses on CL but I'm lyre about buying one from CL. http://www.tractorsupply.com/black-bull-trade-drill-press-with-laser-guide-work-light-16-speed-3900673

Rice Eater
Don't waste your money on the one from tractor supply. I got one and the chuck/shaft assembly falls out frequently.

Tractor
My cheapo harbor freight model has been great in helping me make many brackets etc over the years.
AC66Bronco
our sears chraftsman works great going on 25+ years. unless it is something you are going to use frequently no real need to go huge big buck brand name. we use ours once or twice a year if that.
