Dharris89 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Share Posted September 30, 2012 Just seeing if anyone is interested in my old truck. It is a 1978 Chevy Suburban, 2wd trailer special model. It is a 3/4 ton truck and has the 454 and a 4barrel. The mileage is 83K and I am the second owner. My wife's grandfather bought this truck new and I bought it from the estate a few years ago. He was sick and it sat for several years. It runs and has good oil pressure but there is a bottom end noise when it first starts. Its definitely not perfect but its a good start for someone who wants a tow vehicle or just a cool old truck. There is one rust spot about 1 inch behind the passenger rear wheel. Otherwise the truck is super clean and has been in the garage its whole life. I'm hoping to get about $3,000 but would be interested in trades. Would really like a pick up but shoot me an offer. Then I thought it would be cool to put a ls motor in it. Now after 3 years I just don't have the time or cash to do it justice. At least I've never lost it in a parking lot. The engine noise is very faint in my opinion and i believe some Lucas would probably eliminate it. If not it couldnt be anything more than a set of bearings that could probably be done in the truck.
