I have a 1999 Explorer XLT, 4.0L SOHC. It is black with gray leather interior. 165k miles on it. Interior is in GREAT shape, no rips or tears in the leather. Engine and transmission run GREAT. For a 1999 with 165k on it, the paint is very clean, but does has dents / scratches.. Nothing huge or outrageous.

Asking 2700-

It has HID headlights (6000k color)

Tires are 90%

Brakes and suspension are good

Has a brand new muffler (they always rot out)

New crank and cam sensors

4wd works great

Sunroof works great

AC/ and Heat both work awesome!

Battery is less than 1 year old

Im sure there are more, but I cant think of any right now. Just had it to ford for a ECU reprogram, and they inspected the vehicle. Only noted that the timing chain guides are noisey.

It has 2 issues.....

Timing chain guides are noisey (Very common issue with the fords) I have seen numerous explorers come in for maintenance with the same noise, and they drive just fine.

Let me know if your interested, and I can show it to you.

KBB rates the value at...

Excellent

$3,920

Very Good

$3,695

Good

$3,595

Fair

$3,070

I would consider this explorer to be in Good condition.

You stated the truck has two issues, but I only see the chain guides listed. What is the second?

Timing chain guides, needs an alignment. Steering wheel is slightly off center.

The radio display sometimes lights up and sometimes doesnt. I preset radio stations so I just flip through those..

I drive it everyday to work, and have no issues.. The timing chain makes noise sometimes, I just turn the radio up.
