TurboGoKart
A co-worker wants to take his 09 G8 GT to the dealer for warranty stuff, he's worried about the dealer being able to see how fast it's been. Can they do this?

TurboRust
i'd think if you clear engine codes/emissions data through a scanner it shouldnt retain a thing,
Cordell
No, unless there's something fishy about the warranty work, a tech or his service manager could care less about the ECM or other modules. All we can do with GM cars is take screen shots of the software ID coding and compare if its factory calibration or not, and this is somehing that's not typically done. So to settle a debate on some other boards, can a GM tech see if the ECM has been altered/flashed by a program like HP Tuners then flashed back to a stock tune?
