No shit. Look at what gun you're using lol.

It's not like its ridiculously expensive. Buds sells them for $1100 all day and if you look around you can find them for 8-900 used.

I was just stating that people too often throw every gun made by a given manufacturer in the same boat, and it's just not the case. My regular custom II shot good, but this thing is just in a different league.

As far as all the glock and M&P talk, they are just completely different animals than a 1911. They all have their place and purpose.

If I were ever in a situation where I was say going into a CQC situation with multiple threats, I would take the higher mag capacity of say a glock.

In a situation where a precision shot with a pistol were required (say taking down a threat that had a hostage close by) I wouldn't want anything but my 1911.

What's funny Kyle is that steve has never owned one.

Inb4 " why would I own a glock glock boom" garbage reply

I can shoot a glock whenever i want, many gens and many calibers.

I would never own one, mostly because i like my fingers where they are.

fk m&p. have shot both. vastly prefer glock. good friend of mine had m&p, then shot glock, sold m&p and bought glock. CPD officer I spoke with carried m&p, I aksed what he thought about it. he informed me he preferred glock.

glock ftw

You probably can't beat this for the money:

I've heard good things, never seen one in person though. For under a grand I'd go with that, a Rock Island (mine has been dead reliable), used Colt, Remington, Springfield. Para and Auto Ordnance have been around forever, never hear any complaints.

Magnum Research (Desert Eagle) has a nice looking 1911, don't know if it will run or not but I'd like to try it out. Bud's price is $684, not bad.

Sig Sauer makes good ones, not sure on pricing but I think they can be had for under a grand.

So for all of these GOOD options out there, there is NO reason to go with a brand that is known to perform unreliably, and with unreliable customer service. Skip the Kimber.

Oh no no, I'm not saying just cause it's expensive, OR just a Kimber for that matter, that it's a helluva gun. But THAT gun, from the custom shop, is a precision shooting machine!
