I got to see the "Bobcat" engine Ford was testing in Detroit. 5.0 direct injection, twin turbo, 16 fuel injectors 8 for gas 8 for e85. Thing was sick. Sadly I don't think it'll go into production. On3Performance Posted November 3, 2012 Report Share Posted November 3, 2012 the weird thing is that they will not give any information about it. They said they are letting the nhra rate it for hp? No clue what that was supposed to mean but I went along with it. They would not give hp numbers on the car either, they said its just a base file and did a few burnout videos(which I dont believe either). I then proceeded to ask questions about the oil pump gears and some of the failures people have seen. The two guys didnt take well to that and acted irritated at that point. Our local Ford Dealership had one of the Cobra Jets with the snake decal along the side of it a few weeks back. Could be NA, could have a blower. There are a few different CJ options...
