Disc to Digital worth it?

I've been redeeming my digital copies in the UltraViolet format instead of iTunes, I've noticed that they offer Disc to Digital by taking your actual movie disc to WalMart or any store that offers the service and they can convert it to an UltraViolet copy (you get to keep your disc but it gets stamped with some special ink so it can't be done again, and yes the disc will still works) question is: Is this service worth it? I know to convert DVD's to HD/HDX cost $5.00 and BluRay movies cost $2.00, but I've heard people complain about only getting SD not HD or HDX, I'm pretty sure you have to tell them you want it in HD or HDX.

Anyone done this? is it worth it? I'm asking because I have A TON of movies, over 300 DVD's(only certain ones I would get in HD not gonna spend a shit ton to convert all my DVD's) and over 200 BluRay movies.
