Question:

Why do most honduh guys get big turbos to run 8psi? They take forever to spool and when they do reach "full boost" they aren't even in the turbo's efficiency range.

Not trying to be an ass. Serious question.

8 psi on a small turbo is not going to move as much as 8 psi on a bigger turbo.

Airflow>PSI

thank god it says civic on the front windshield. I wouldn't have known otherwise.

I know right?! Thank god the windshield has been replaced, maybe reading beyond the first post would help you out next time ;) I don't know how soon this thin will be turbo'd honestly. The clutch is not ideal for boost in my opinion, its just an Exedy stage 1, so basically stock clutch. Also the H series transmissions don't like a whole lot of abuse and to run a B series transmission is still pretty pricey (kits alone are over $800). For now she just wants to continue to clean it up, get it looking respectable and add little odds and end stuff here and there.

Because small/big turbos don't hook on fwd hondas. Like a big dsm 16 won't even hook at 16 or so #'s. Talking street only tires/car. SiColin on here has this setup on a built engine at 18~20# and with 3 people in the car (including me) didn't catch till towards the end of 3rd gear. On decent tires/susp setup

Coming from the ricer in me....here goes. I love the H series, 22 or 23 over B or K anything. Just my view.

1st off if you ever need any H series stuff lmk. I've got 3 stock heads and 2 h22a1 stock blocks (1 needs bored). Also 3 or 4 intakes also. Couple full harnesses as well. All collecting dust so. As for the trans being weak. Any 90~93 accord trans will bolt up (cheapest route just change 5th gear sensor). Shorter 1st gear and maybe 5th (can't remem). But gears are interchangable. Prob solved. Weak point on h22 heads is valves. I've shot 200 shot of spray and 300 shot spray on stock heads, took 2 bottles on both to just chip exhaust valves (yes chip). Don't wanna act like a know it all, but I had the h22 crx way back in the day so I know these engines. Any questions feel free to ask

and a triple individual post because well....its a honda

Also saw you had a gt35 turbo. I have a brand new hot side gt35 housing with pipe connector and original zinc nuts still. Bought it from garrett brand new when gt35 came out for $300 for another project but was off 1/8th of an inch. $50 and its yours for a mock up exhaust. Not trying to sell out, just help out mods :)

The front windshield was missing the side trim panels, so where better to find them in mint condition than the dealership. Thank god for Majestic Honda, thats all I gotta say haha. Going to install there here in a little bit, should make the car look even better than it currently does.

We finally got the car done being wet sanded, buffed and cleaned. Its amazing what some sand paper and rubbing compound can do to a cars appearance.

Went to the junkyard today with a couple buddies to not only trounce around in the mud but to find some parts. Came out with the following:

Mint door panels to replace the current ones which have some sort of red wrapping on them. Got super lucky enough to find the exact ones we needed

Rear Mud Flaps (gonna get front ones as well)

The trim molding that goes on the door under window (with all clips in tact)

Came home and gave them a bath, they cleaned up pretty well.

Dirty and looking unloved:

Gave em a bath and they cleaned up nicely:

Picked up a set of Precision 680cc injectors this evening. Only thing left to do is schedule a tune date and get this stuff all on

Got bored today and decided that was excuse enough to start putting turbo parts on the Civic. Got all the piping and intercoler mounted up. Once she schedules a tuning date we will get the turbo on and plumb it. Also got the aftermarket fuel rail that came with the car put on.

Had to trim the bumper to clear the piping:

After some cutting, fitting and more cutting the intercooler was mounted:

Also put a factory shift boot back in the car to replace the red one. No more red interior pieces!!
