KillJoy
LINKY For $900 it looks decent (other then Win 8, which would be removed for Win 7). Thoughts for gaming? KillJoy
mrs.cos
well, A) its out of stock, and B) you really cant go wrong with a lenovo.. I see nothing but positive in the specs.. especially for gaming.. 2gb might be a bit low on video side but should be ok for a it.. 16GB ram is nice
iwishiwascool
Out of stock seems like a problem. Can you get a non-red keyboard?
iwishiwascool
Seems like this is better anyway, faster CPU SSD OS drive. http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?GroupID=457&Code=59360241&category_id=5B0116E237099FA0FCA012D9B20ED2FB
mrhobbz
650M does extremely well, it's what I have in my laptop. Runs nearly everything on maxed out settings or fairly closed to maxxed out at 1920x1080.
JaSSon
That's SLI'd 650M's. That will run any game you can throw at it, if you can order one! It's LIKELY 2gb per 650M. Keep in mind there is NO optical drive in this notebook. You can remove one of the 650Ms and install one tho. If you're able to order one, replace that HDD stat. That is by far the bottleneck of the system. Also remove the 2gb sodimm and install a 2nd 4gb for 8gb RAM.
iwishiwascool
Oh, I missed the dual 650m.

Mr. Jones
FWIW: The Y500 is amazing. Stock GT650's easily overclock beyond GT660M numbers on stock cooling. Swapped in a Samsung 840 PRO SSD and it's just dumb fast! This thing is a bargain!
