Ramsey
Something went wrong and I damaged the end of my bushmaster barrel. The muzzle crown has a pit or hit into it. Any way to fix this? After putting it back together with the new upper i was able to site it in, then shot some other guns reloaded mags and started firing again and it start "key holing or tumbling". I took it home and pulled the newly added a2 flash hider to find the damage. What could have caused this? When the y-comp was removed it had some trouble coming off and had to be cut off and hurt some of the threads. We cleaned up the remaining threads and screwed the a2 on and noticed with the crush washer it was "clocked" wrong, so we removed it and went with no washer and everything seemed tight. Could that have caused it? http://i47.tinypic.com/24qrck1.jpg
schmuckingham
Was the A2 still tight on the barrel when you removed it? A lot of times if no Rockset or something like that is used the muzzle device will loosen up and then the projectile will kiss the muzzle device. Happens a lot with suppressors if you dont ratchet them down all the way

TheBussman1647545507
Cheapest fix is the cut a lil bit of off the tip of the barrel, file it flat then rent the correct crowning tool (like $25 from 4-D) re-crown it. Of course your going to be really carfull that your still greater than 16." You'll have a little bit less threads but it should be fine, if your really worried about it I think you can rent the threading tool too, if your barrel profile diamiter is too large you may run into issues though. I would think a new barrel would be close in cost to having a pro fix your current one .

I might just have this one chopped and pinned down the road and try to find a replacement for now.

Radio Flyer1647545514
I would cut it and pin it or follow Bussmans suggestion. I don't know how you put the flash hider on, but I've heard that loctite can loosen up due to the heat. Give Adco a call as well. Gun Envy isn't really accepting much work right now. I asked them about threading for my CZ barrel since they do it at a great cost and they told me to just have it done by CZ while I had my barrel there for fitting. 1fast5gp
http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/psa-14-7-hf-m4a1-5-56-1-7-barrel.html you can get that... and just have the muzzle device pinned and welded. It is better than both of the barrels that you have posted above.

Is there a barrel in stock that i could just order and install myself?
RedRocket1647545505
Looks to me like the original flash hider might have been pinned and was forced off. As for fixing it, I would find a gunsmith to fix it if I were you; have it chopped to 14.5", pinned and welded.

Is there a barrel in stock that i could just order and install myself? The barrel is in stock and isn't hard to swap it out your self. If you can't find someone to pin the flash hider on that barrel for you let me know. I do have a spikes 16in barrel that I can trade you. http://www.spikestactical.com/new/z/st-16-m4-le-556-p-863.html It would cost you $30 dollars + shipping to ADCO to have the flash hider perma. attached. http://adcofirearms.com/shopservices/shop_q.cfm?code=
