The Other Nick
I am in the process of getting the parts i need to build my boosted 306, but i am at a stand still as to what camshaft to choose. I will be all dss internals with worked e7 heads gt40 intake and a on3 kit. I just cant figure out what cam will work since this is my first turbo build. Any input would help. Thanks. The Other Nick
What power goal at what rpm? Im looking to make close to 500 at the wheels and it would like to make peak power at or around 5500. My basic bolt on made power to 4900. schmuckingham
Factory with a 1.6 rocker, not even kidding.
The Other Nick
Factory with a 1.6 rocker, not even kidding. I have seen a few people do that. I just picked up a complete running explorer motor for $175. What is the reliability with the stock cam and a boosted motor.

DKilbourne
I have 2 spare blocks at this point just in case it does happen. 500 rwhp with a turbo is much easier on the block, but I've seen a few split down the middle. One was just broken through the lifter valley, one made two four cylinders, the other wasn't quite all of the way through until it was helped
ICEMAN1647545504
Stock is good for that power level Nick. If u want a little of a lope to it you can put a B303 or E303 if you can find one cheap enough.
