John Bruh
I purchased an old chevy truck to restore. I have a dually axle for it and plan on running 22.5" Freightliner wheels. I want to have the wheels milled down to a 22" that way I have more tire options and a lower profile sidewall. Does anyone know any shops that can do this work? Thanks John
Cordell
So you want to mill half an inch out of the bead seat, and basically the rest of the inside of the rim in order to make mounting the tires possible? Honestly I don't think thats a good idea if it is even a possibility. How thick is the rim material anyway?

I know of shops that can do it, they're all just not in state.

Never heard of it so I'm sceptical. Did you ask Wheel Medic yet?

Haven't called them yet. Figured I'd post it up here first. I haven't bought the wheels yet in case no one around here can.
GSXRAntwon
Wheel Medic will NOT do this, I asked Brice last week. There's simply too much liability. My buddy had 24.5" Alcoa's, he ended up stretching a 24" tire on it. DONE.
TurboNova
If I had a dually I always wanted to run semi wheels on it... post pics when done.
94TanRanger
You can stretch the tires and they will be fine. Getting them off is a different story. I don't know if anyone in the state that can do it. I know tons of people have used Tennessee wheel and tire (http://www.tnwheelandtire.com) the can mull the wheels down and sell wheels that are already milled. John Bruh
Yeah I knew Tennessee could, and they stock wheels so I may have to plan a trip to nashville to get then there.
