I fished with my Dad years ago when I was a teenager and just got away from it. I have a few people at work who talk fishing all day and it just sparked my interest.

Better then sitting on my ass at home doing nothing.

Dad and I go out about once a week when weather breaks. As of right now, nothing is really biting as the weather hasnt been consistent.

We did ok on carapie last week, 4 nice ones about 13in each. I hear that cat fish are starting to bite near the northern part of hoover.

oh yeah, hoover near oxbow or alum near howard rd. Those are the prime spots for flatheads. ;). Right now crappie are biting slow but like you said, when the weather breaks and we get warmer weather they will spawn and that should be in the next couple of weeks, crappie will be on fire. I mean slabs after slabs
