Forrest Gump 9 Posted June 5, 2013 Report Share Posted June 5, 2013 Honda expert please chime in. Car is '00 civic dx, AT tranny with about 100k miles. Problem is as soon as the engine starts, the speedometer points at 20mph and will not do anything else. Tried to swap out a speed sensor unit on the tranny didn't help. Cluster itself? SinisterSS Posted June 5, 2013 Report Share Posted June 5, 2013 about 3-4 years ago i I fixed a civic with the exact same issue your having, I replaced the cluster and it was fixed. 99.9% of the time its the cluster itself, the other 0.01% is the VSS.
