Tripleskate
Before you inevitably drive it, I'm curious, how many points are currently on your license?
PRD2BDF
Before you inevitably drive it, I'm curious, how many points are currently on your license? Why do you want to know, but I honestly have no idea.
Fubar231
Why do you want to know, but I honestly have no idea. Because driving around in a supercharged 8.1l avalanche will definitely add some onto your license lol (Least Mine would, i couldnt help doing burnouts in that thing)
POS VETT
I would've picked the 496 over diesel too. Makes me want to get a V8 truck even more
PRD2BDF
Just thought I would update this. They are experiencing problems with the Whipple system. Apparently it was common as a few people have complained. We are constantly getting a cel that points to either or both the throttle and maf sensors. From what I've gleaned from the forums is that it's experiencing too much airflow and the fuel system cannot keep up. People who had this fixed the issue by upgrading to larger marine injectors and a lot of tuning. Ultimately, they are not interested in doing this and are looking at reverting it back to stock
SRTurbo04
Ultimately, they are not interested in doing this and are looking at reverting it back to stock I would think it would cost more in parts and labor to revert t back to stock the it would be the do the upgrades ? fail... PRD2BDF
I honestly have no idea. They won't let me touch or drive it. I did suggest taking it to IPS for diagnosis and repair ( and a tune) but it fell on deaf ears. Pun intended.
MrMeanGreen
Tell them I'll give them $10k for it and they can buy something else.

Nate1647545505
Most likely running off the end of the MAF frequency limit. That motor is rather large so the cyl pressure is distributed a lot better then say an LShaunnn with ~350ci. Still - when you put any engine through the stresses of towing (load) you end up in a region of calibration that unless excessively R&D'ed - can become troubled waters, quickly. There's a reason why Ferrrrrd has dumped a ton of R&D into the Ecoboost in the F150. You don't find to many gasser's sporting forced induction for a reason. DI is starting to change that however. PRD2BDF
The problem is that it's Setting off the cel while NOT towing.
Nate1647545505
It might be failing a sanity check...theoretical airflow versus actual. If it happens cruising around out of boost that might be an entirely different problem.. Do you know the exact P00 whatnot code?
PRD2BDF
Off the top of my head, no. It has triggered the MAF, TPS, and lean bank 1 and 2 codes. It seems like the only fix as I mentioned before is larger injectors and a tune which my parents are not interested in doing.
Geeesammy
Pull the exact codes and post em up. Lean 1 and 2 does not equal not enough fuel always (by this i mean not enough injector) if it runs off of a MAF (Which I'm assuming it does) then that could be dirty or faulty causing it to lean out. Strange that it throws a TPS code though. Paging Cordell.
