evan9381
My grandma from Cleveland and my cousin and her kid from VA/MD will be here later. Along with them, some more family and I will be going out for dinner so no one has to cook before the party tomorrow. looking for ideas for a place that would be good for let's say 10-12 people, and something that's specific to Columbus. No chain restaurants, etc. I like the idea of Thurman's, but not for 10+ people, and not on a Saturday during dinner hours. I was thinking of maybe Schmidts, but looking for some other ideas. Nothing too expensive or fancy...lets say $20/plate or less. Go!

cstmg8
What kind of food? What part of town are you in? I like j liu's, pretty good variety and great food. Either location is good. If they're staying, dans' drive in on south high is tough to beat for lots of good cheap breakfast food!
cstmg8
Sounds like you are looking in German village, Tony's has good Italian and a decent family businesses atmosphere.
evan9381
Im with buck on cap city. When i went, i wasnt impressed. Open to cuisines. Probably nothing exotic, but a place with some different tastes would be good

Mensan
Villa Nova on High Street, but good luck getting in on short notice. I have to say, at less than $20/plate how picky would you like to be regarding quality?

El Karacho1647545492
Giammarco's in Westerville. Great italian family restaurant. My Italian (born and raised in Genova) coworker says this is the only true Italian place in Columbus. I'm inclined to agree.

evan9381
We had a few unable to make it, so we had a more reasonable sized group and they wanted to do Schmidts, so we did. Still had like an hour wait with 6 of us.
