DaddyBuiltRacing
This time in Colorado http://news.yahoo.com/reports-shooting-at-high-school-near-denver-201843048.html Have we as a society grown numb or just grown accustomed to these type of things? Supplicium
Id say numb to the point where it is not shocking anymore.
DaddyBuiltRacing
Id say numb to the point where it is not shocking anymore. Agreed! Seems like its a yearly tradition at this point
C-Mart
This is 5 minutes from my parents house and where 10+ of my college friends went to high school. Apparently the only confirmed dead right now is the shooter.
DaddyBuiltRacing
Yeah apparently the shooter has been found dead inside the school, self inflicted wound via shotgun. Still crazy that this type of thing just seems to happen every year now.
El Karacho1647545492
As much as we want to know about the goings-on in our country to have informed debate, the only way we prevent this from happening is to prevent the perpetrators from gaining any notoriety. Or maybe locking guns away from troubled kids.
El Karacho1647545492
Or maybe locking guns away from troubled kids. That's assuming that personal responsibility is no longer extinct in America. Not giving these bitches the attention they want is an unhappy compromise between "assume people will hold themselves accountable" and "take everyone's guns away"
Putty
This will never end.
DaddyBuiltRacing
Sadly I think Putty is correct. At least this one didn't use an assault rifle, so the anti gun people can stay quiet. He used a shotgun from what I have read. Pretty soon kids will be going to school in basically a prison, metal detectors before you get in and locked down until the bell rings at the end of the day. I know some schools have already gone to these measures.
Otis Nice
This will never end. Truth. Has been happening for centuries, albeit not with guns. Sadly I think Putty is correct. At least this one didn't use an assault rifle, so the anti gun people can stay quiet. He used a shotgun from what I have read. Oh snap! What's Biden gonna say now? Pretty soon kids will be going to school in basically a prison, metal detectors before you get in and locked down until the bell rings at the end of the day. I know some schools have already gone to these measures. Not my kid.
TTQ B4U
I'm waiting for the day when this happens and a teacher or student pulls out their gun and ends the situation and the media takes such an event viral
copperhead
I'm waiting for the day when this happens and a teacher or student pulls out their gun and ends the situation and the media takes such an event viral It would get buried, nobody would hear about it. I agree. What a coincidence this happened so close to the same time of the Sandy Hook shootings.

copperhead
So the guy was booted off the debate team for some reason or another, and he was going after the librarian that also ran the debate team. He was rabidly anti-Republican and was known to wear USSR sickle and hammer shirts to school, as he considered himself to be a communist. http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_24721367/arapahoe-high-gunman-held-strong-political-beliefs-classmates http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052702303932504579258820517724030 No word on any mental illness but it's claimed that he was bullied. I'd like to know why this is happening so much in the Denver metropolitan area, that's 3 major ones now that I can think of. As for the trend of mass shooters, here's an interesting take on it. I know the source falls in the whack-job category, but once in a while they are able to put together stuff that can actually be (mostly) verified, like here: http://www.infowars.com/media-works-to-keep-mass-shooters-profiles-secret/
jeffro
Colorado has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. See where that gets us??

Colorado has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. See where that gets us?? Logic does not make it through the anti-gun tin foil hats. It always goes back to ignoring the true issues and just blaming guns.

Snowflake
Keep the media away and stories like this out of the fucking news. Im most likely going to home school my son.
Brandon
kid was a one of those "wacky" socialists... Wait
Otis Nice
I'm definitely going to home school my son. FTFY I still like the idea of former service men/women being employed to stand guard at every school in the country. More jobs, kids are safer (providing the right steps are taken in the hiring process).
El Karacho1647545492
kid was a one of those "wacky" socialists... Wait No one at that age is really a socialist, just someone who wants recognition for being different. Anyone who knows anything about anything, even the most bleeding heart left wing liberals, knows that true socialism is stupid.
Zx2guy19
These type of things are beyond my comprehension. Thoughts to the familIES that have to go through this. Even though the kid was a fucking whacko, 2 families are suffering from this tragedy. This is exactly why I am an Aethiest. No God would allow this. There is no such thing as an atheist. You see snow, so you believe snow exists. If you saw God, you would also believe God existed.
