Be on the lookout for a thief...

Or thieves...three males in a silver or gray midsize sedan, license CGB6397. They have been shoplifting stores on the westside for about a week. Tonight they branched out into car breakins too. Got two cars in the parking lot while their buddy inside jimmied a fire escape door in the back area. Then they all went inside, loaded up some totes, and blasted out the side door. They missed running me over by about a foot in the parking lot, so I noticed the plate. Went inside and got the story. CPD doesn't even pretend to care even if the store will release video.

How can they? Don't you know there are far too many traffic related tickets to hand out and unwarranted pull-overs to perform. :megusta:

The two guys who were in the store were white "hippie looking" and younger, according to the cashier. I didn't see the one driving unfortunately...I was focused on the plate after I realized how close they were going to get to me.

it's amazing how you can do everything the police want you to do to make their jobs easy, and they still won't do anything.

So true it's not funny. One of our thieves drove a work vehicle. We looked up the business. Sure enough the person listed as the owner, has a Facebook with both home and business addresses posted. His picture matched our security footage 100%.

I'm sure there is some red tape. When you can provide proof of stolen merchandise and proof of who took it down to their home address it get's a little frustrating when weeks go by with no action.

Bypass the police, file a civil theft suit. Owner of your business can claim three times the value of the items stolen, plus have the right to claim all attorney fees and court costs. Since the person stealing has a business, it is likely you can obtain monetary compensation.
