I dont know if they have less incentive, if they just blow off the deal as unlikely, or what... but even the car I actually bought from california and had shipped, i might as well have made the deal with a robot the guy was so apathetic. Yeah, come to think of it, that's been my experience as well. The dealer from Tuscon where I got my S5 was a solid MEH on the customer service scale.
