tripleGmax
So we own a Ford Explorer with tan leather seats. The driver's side likes to let denim wear off onto it. I know it's "common" for that to happen but the passenger side never has this issue and for a 45k vehicle its pretty flippin frustrating. Does anyone here in town do scotchguarding or similar to stop this? I bought some leather cleaner/inhibitor/whatever and it's not 100% effective. Sledhead36
Scotch guard will not stop this. Keep applying a leather cleaner/ softener. Maybe someone else has another idea, but scotch guard is for stains from moisture.
tripleGmax
thanks for the reply. im using leather master's cleaner/softener/barrier. It does an ok job, but ill just make it a priority to do every other week or so.
El Karacho1647545492
This in no way is guaranteed to work, but if your car is still under warranty I'd take it up with Ford customer service. The Focus ST with Tangerine Scream cloth inserts is notorious for denim ruboff and a few owners have gotten new seat covers as a result. Like I said, no guarantee but it's worth taking it up the chain.
tripleGmax
I got it back from them after someone in detailing said he'd get it right out. Took him 2 seconds according to them. So whatever he's using is magical. I'm trying to find out what it is so I can get some. I'll let everyone know in case they/you have the same issues.
