TTQ B4U
Panasonic is another option....and while I'm a bit biased, I'm considering one as well because I like toys. http://www.dpreview.com/previews/panasonic-lumix-dmc-fz1000/6?utm_campaign=internal-link&utm_source=features&utm_medium=homepage-block&ref=features Another great option is the Canon G15 or G16. They have great video capabilities. http://www.dpreview.com/products/canon/compacts/canon_g16 Another great option that Midwest Camera is blowing out is: http://www.dpreview.com/products/panasonic/compacts/panasonic_dmcfz200 Excellent optics and great video. I may go back for one of these myself.
carl1647545492
I,m replacing a Panny 3 ccd that for all purposes works fine until you watch it on a HDTV. So yeah I,m looking for a new toy. Talking of Panasonics have you seen this?
TTQ B4U
Talking of Panasonics have you seen this? Haven't seen the video, but I've seen the camera. Just have never been much of a Four Thirds format. Would require a whole new system for me too. The new Canon's are around the corner so I'm hoping they come out with a new Mirrorless one. The M was a nice first attempt, but it needs replaced.

carl1647545492
The 4K ability in the FZ 1000 is nice and would future proof for the foreseeable future, What software/hardware do you edit with now and would it be enough to work in 4K? I have a pretty powerful i7 base PC with a hefty graphics card and 24gb ram no issues with 4k. I use sony Vegas pro.
