Art
Anyone familiar with Subarus enough to give a listen To my "squeaky clutch". I can't figure out what it is. I have done research, it seems to be 3 likely possibilities. Firewall rub, throwout bearing, or it's cold and "It's a Subaru thing" I am at 28k miles, but the 3 yr 36k has ended. Thank you, Art

Art
It will do what with the car on or off. It will do it with the car warm or cold. A couple of times I have felt a vibration. The vibration is similar to lightly dragging a butter knife on the edge of your countertop. Only a catback. I am planning to do a drop in k&n panel. Downpipe, and tune this spring. Geeesammy
I know a lot of clutch's will squeak first thing in the morning when you are headed into work. My Saturn does it, Supra did it (given it was a 6 puck) and various other vehicles I have owned/driven over the years have done it in the winter. Art
I hear it when I get home from work also, every time. All the time.
Mojoe
Base point for me is, nothing should squeak on a car. A video with good audio would be good for trouble shooting. Short of that, Slow Motion is right down the street from you in Sunbury. They treated my car very well this week. Talk to Drew to see if it's something that needs attention. coltboostin
mine does it art - its a subaru thing. My 08 did it too Base point for me is, nothing should squeak on a car. Subaru LOL. I'm with this guy. Just because someone hugged a tree when you purchased the car does not mean at 30k it should literally sound like a C-list winter beater. Bigbird
Better hope it's not the firewall...that really needs to be a recall. It's most of the reason I sold my '09.
