Tshensley
if you got the 290x route, make sure your power supply is sufficient. I bought one and it requires 750w

Tshensley
If your not going to be running 4k anytime soon, try to score a deal on a 970 GTX and you can get by without having to spend on a power supply.
jeffro
Dont buy the GTX970. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/nvidia-slapped-with-false-advertising-lawsuit-for-/1100-6425481/
morabu
I own the 970 and am MORE than satisfied with it. I agree that i was mislead in my purchase. Even with only having 3.5 GB's of useful VRam, it's STILL way faster than the 290. While still trading blows with the 290x.
Tshensley
Even with the allegations I wouldve bought one, but since im using 4k I went with the 290x

A quality 700W PSU is more than up to the task of running a single R9 290X.
