1-4x optic for FS2000

Experience needed. I'm looking for a 1-4x or close optic for my FS2000. I hate picking out optics as I really don't know enough about them to really tell a good one from a bad one besides reading reviews. I want some real life experience from columbus racing. I have an eotech with a magnifier on another rifle that works good enough, but honestly I don't love it as much as I thought I would.

So I'm looking for a good 1-4x optic for my Fs2000. What do you have? Doesn't have to be exactly a 1-4 but somewhere on the lower range.

I run a Leopold Firedot SPR 1.5-4 on my BCM AR.

Glass is very clear. Not a true 1-4 but close enough I could get within my budget. Eye relief is surprising generous.

The VX-R Patrol is a 1.25-4 and about 1 step up from the Mark AR series

I think for where you are in terms of budget you need to buy a vortex viper pst 1-4. They MAP at 500, but can be had for 400-450 on eBay. I feel like that's the cheapest optic you can get away with on that gun. It's a scope (not a red dot) but the reticle is illuminated in the center and iirc it's a horseshoe.

Otherwise you could get the Burris prism 3x. But I don't think it is variable.

I also have this for sale with the primary arms deluxe scope mount that is barely used. PM me if you are interested in the set up.

You posted a pic of a Tavor with the newest generation Bushnell 1-4..... not a vortex

here are a couple FS2000's with 1-4 scopes.

This guy is an idiot (mount is backwards, amongst other tacticool riddlings)... but you get the idea

Actually, Both mounts are backwards on both guns. Wonder if they wont sit right (pertaining to eye relief) if they had the mount in the right way?

Either ay, you could always just get the American Defense mount that isn't offset.

I agree with Frank and Bob I love my Viper PST 1-4 I have one on an AR. I have a few friends that tried it and decided to go with a 1-4 also but didn't want to spend the money for the vortex and went with the Nikon M223 1-4 and they aren't a bad scope but not the same quality as the vortex.

Frank how much where you asking for the scope? I might consider it but after the pictures above I'm afraid to long for what I'm going for.

Here's the ACOG 4x32 on a Tavor for comparison... it's a bit longer than normal because it has the IR filter and killflash on the front of it...

I've mounted several optics that way for a couple reasons.

One - as you say, depending on rail and setup you can't get the scope where you need it for proper eye relief, and

Two - As a leftie shooter I can tell you many of these mounts just don't sit as well facing one way over the other. That subtle little difference in cheek weld / rail placement / mount build / dominant eye can mean a lot.

Mount it how it works for you.

--------

(Lastly - though this shouldn't be a factor except for shitty equipment/badluck - I've had certain mounts just refuse to dial in properly. No matter what I did it wouldnt zero perfect. Flip the mount around, bingo, right on first click. I won't list this above cuz I think its mostly due to ghetto gear, but there have been some combos of premium manufacturers that just won't play nice together)
