mrhobbz
Does anyone have experience with any of these? I've been debating on getting one mainly for GPS on the motorcycle but I'm not too sure how the displays fair in daylight and how good the battery life is on the more common ones (samsung, lg, etc)
TTQ B4U
Does anyone have experience with any of these? I've been debating on getting one mainly for GPS on the motorcycle but I'm not too sure how the displays fair in daylight and how good the battery life is on the more common ones (samsung, lg, etc) The LG G Watch R has one of the better displays, especially in daylight. As an owner of the Gear S I can tell you that in bright sun it's meh.....but more importantly I can say it's GPS works great when walking and you can stop to look at a watch, but I'm not sure I'd use it on a Bike. Best off to see if you can mount a cheaper smaller dedicated unit. Battery life won't be awesome with a GPS running non stop either.Just my two cents. mrhobbz
Thanks for the thought, I think I'll just pony up for a decent GPS and mount. Sounds like a dedicated GPS will be the best option

El Karacho1647545492
I've heard they can get hot and uncomfortable during prolonged use, but that's hearsay.
smokin5s
I have a Galaxy Gear S and Galaxy Gear 2... the watch band takes some getting used to... the S is HUGE... no other way to put it... it stands out and alot of people will ask you about it... I didn't have many people ask me much about the Gear 2 when I wore that daily. but the S is faster, more useful and has doesn't require my phone. They both sport the AMELOD screen and you can get about a day and a half with the S and 3 days with the 2.
Putty
I have had the Gear and Gear S. I currently have the Moto 360 for a 2nd time. The Gear was nice...very basic with Tizen. I got the Gear S and a prepaid sim, added the keyboard and it was awesome! I could leave my phone at home and totally communicate via the watch. Returned it after the "trial" period because it was just too big for my arm. The Moto 360 I got on release day a long time ago and ended up returning it due to battery life. I bought it again a couple weeks ago when Best Buy was doing the $100 off, so I got the stainless steel band version for $119...HAD TO BUY!
