Diamonds
Yep, I went today for a match at Briar Rabbit. Manages to get first place in the semiauto class. Great time shooting today!

Diamonds
Yep, I am not a fan of "set your rifle on the bench and your first two shots are mulligans" but that was the only sight-in or re-sight we had the chance for. Had to do some math based on my first two shots...

dover
Hey I'll be home either this coming weekend or the next, lets do some shooting. Any ranges out there allow transition drills?

dover
I like the distance stuff but I need to work on my sub 300 yard kneeling shooting and transitions form primary to secondary.
Hwilli1647545487
You can practice transitions drimfire, and you should. I'd be done with doing that kind of shooting though.
dover
Dry fire only goes so far, of course its the beginning phase in the crawl, walk, run method but live fire gets you acclimated to the feeling of running dry.

Diamonds
I've never done drills (or a tactical carbine or pistol course) and would jump at the opportunity to learn if someone wants to put it together. I don't think briar rabbit has the type of space needed (though they used to). I'd help in any way possible!
Hwilli1647545487
Any way possible? I need 20 yards of dirt delivered and setup on my property for my backstop . Sadly I don't have facilities yet. . Hopefully before the end of the summer everything will be done.
Diamonds
How much does 20yds of dirt cost?
Diamonds
Here are some free dirt ads http://columbus.craigslist.org/zip/5020373562.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/zip/5022516648.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/zip/5002799780.html Here's some that cost money (Id pitch in if others will too, I'll lay down the first 50 bucks). I'm sure we can talk this guy down too... It's dirt... http://columbus.craigslist.org/mat/5022364532.html
Hwilli1647545487
The dirt is cheap, getting it hauled is typically the expense. I need to actually sit down and do a calculation on how much I need. I've been busy finishing my basement so the range hasn't gotten much attention. dsm_sleeper
Indoor range? :-)
Mojoe
For a rough estimate, I'd say you would want 250-350 yards of dirt. 350 yards of dirt at even $150 per load, wich is a good deal, would be almost $3300. It's not hard to get $5000 wrapped up in a range. There is more to it than having a pile of dirt.
