coltboostin
Looking for a quick and dirty way to log 40-140, 90-130...ect runs without shelling out the $$$ for a V box. Found this, looks interesting. Anyone use it? Anyone with a V-box want to download it to compare accuracy? http://xyo.net/android-app/speedometer-0-100-0-60-timers-FmEW29s/
unfunnyryan
Get the Torque Pro app and a bluetooth OBD2 scanner. http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Bluetooth-diagnostics-Android/dp/B005NLQAHS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1431378442&sr=8-1&keywords=bluetooth+obd2
Mr. Jones
If you want bragging rights, nobody will accept your android results. Hell, even on friendly discussions online, people want to see the vbox file to verify. I wouldn't trust anything that doesn't have a 10hz gps feed. Again, would love to see how "accurate" it is in comparison. Get the Torque Pro app and a bluetooth OBD2 scanner. http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Bluetooth-diagnostics-Android/dp/B005NLQAHS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1431378442&sr=8-1&keywords=bluetooth+obd2 No speedo in my car, and I dont think this will serve my purpose. But, it may be a good hack to get a Tack in the car lol. Can this sync with a cheap-o tablet with Bluetooth? And what makes that better or different than this one? http://www.amazon.com/Version-Bluetooth-Diagnostic-Interface-Scanner/dp/B008UR7J6I/ref=pd_sim_263_6/190-0959385-8679908?ie=UTF8&refRID=0JV1D1FDSVR24SR64FX7

greg1647545532
I also have the QStarz GPS thing and it works great, I consider it extremely accurate for road courses, I haven't used it for anything else. Whereas the VBOX is a standalone logger, the QStarz is just a GPS module; it needs a phone and an app that supports it. I use TrackMaster, which specifically supports the qstarz thing. The app you linked to says it supports external GPS modules, but there's a million phones and a few different bluetooth GPS modules, so nothing's guaranteed. bmwohio
Thanks for the info!! What makes the V box better/different than the Qstarz? Couple of things: Vbox is waterproof, Qstarz is not....so if you plan to use in rain you have to mount inside the windshield with Qstarz and sometimes don't get the best signal possible Vbox has built in GPS AND accelerometer Qstarz is just GPS Some have had issues with reliability with Qstarz, whereas the Vbox just lasts a much longer time. Basically, if you have the budget for the Vbox and are going to use it ALOT, I would go with Vbox. I've had my Qstarz since beginning of season last year and mine still works fine today. Hope that helps.

Also can be used as a standalone. http://www.qstarz.com/Products/GPS%20Products/BT-Q1000EX-10HZ-F.html

Or just root it and use your phone. :lolguy: cheaper than a vbox
