Tractor Posted May 12, 2015 Report Share Posted May 12, 2015 My companies ford transits have been showing signs of transmission problems. My boss wanted me to check around for possible causes before we take them to the dealerships blind. The shifting isn't great, feels like its slipping and then will bang into gear, they will do this most frequently while in heavy stop/go traffic, acts like it doesn't know what gear to be in, sometimes won't come down from higher gear, sometimes won't go up into next gear and then bangs into a gear. wrench light comes on, but no codes are getting logged. My co. car and several others that my team uses have all had Tranny's fail at around 40-60k. I loved my F.Sport but it's had over $3,400 in out of warranty repairs needed in just 70k miles. No thanks. I won't personally buy/own one until that's resolved. FWIW I had an Acura and Accord with shitty auto tranny's too. Gun shy there still.
