clone
My grand daughter's other grand mother ask me what her 1981 Corvette is worth. I don't have much detail just a few pictures. Let me know what you think and a price range for low to high. She is interested in selling it and was looking for some ideas on what it might be worth. If anybody is interested in a closer look PM me and I'll get you in touch with her. Thanks Jim http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x108/clone50/IMG950356_zpsexpaytyz.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x108/clone50/IMG950358_zpscfe9tpji.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x108/clone50/IMG950354_zpsjzgryaje.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x108/clone50/IMG950357_zpsofa1nkl2.jpg

STEVE-O
Does it have an automatic or a manual transmission? Need to know this, all original? Run and drive? Miles? This all plays a big factor in pricing
clone
Need to know this, all original? Run and drive? Miles? This all plays a big factor in pricing I talked to her today and she told me It's a 350 automatic car and she thinks it's all original. They bought it in 1995. It has 97k miles and it and runs and drives OK. She also told me that she has to keep the battery unhooked between driving it or it runs down the battery. She just isn't sure what to ask for it thats fair for her and fair for a buyer so asked me to help.
POS VETT
It's not surprising that a Corvette from this generation having a problem with its battery; actually it's expected. The high mileage, for a Corvette, and the combination of powertrain and drivetrain do not contribute to the resale value. They were produced in a massive number and the ones that command high prices usually have a big block coupled to a manual transmission. ForeverMaker
List for $5500 and maybe get $4XXX would be my guess.
Geeto67
NADA has it between $11 and $15K but I am actually surprised by that as I see plenty of these on CL for around $7-9K. It's literally a used 1981 Chevrolet whose only premium is that it is a corvette. It doesn't appear to be an L82 so, not much else going on there. That being said - these cars are kind of performance bargains if you are looking for something to hot rod. The C3 chassis was the most raced of all the corvettes and there is a ton of handling stuff in the aftermarket. Plus any chevy engine will fit in the engine bay. This is pretty close I would say because no one really wants it if looking for a old VETTE but would possibly settle for it over nothing
