Is Alfa coming stateside? if so = Good news

Alfa already is stateside...I've sold 2 Alfa Romeo 4Cs and currently waiting on a 3rd to get on a boat in Italy.

The 4C is super low production though (~2500 worldwide at this point I believe) but the Giulia will be the mass market launch.

There were other rumors that this is not the Giulia engine and the Giulia will have a Pentastar - based block with different heads, like the Maserati does.

There were some other leaks, supposedly.

Starting at around What price point for the states though? Cool cars but very limited still on where to go for service and other parts

Based on historical rumors/discussions, I would expect the Giulia to start around $37k. No data/insider info to back that up though.

Targeting BMW, so you can probably expect it to be similar to a 3 series.

Did you have the opportunity to drive either of them? The spider version reminds me so much of the Lotus Elise .... wondering how the two compare on ingress and egress, power, handling. I've read a few road tests, and they seem all over the board regarding impressions.

Is there availability on the spider?

Spider should arrive ~ October.

I can't say how the 4C acts on track because I've only driven it a short distance, but I'll see if I can put you in touch with one of my clients who owns one. He races in the Continantal Sportscar Challenge series and he had his Alfa on track at Mid-Ohio earlier this month. Nothing but positive things to say about it.

I think the best reviews of the car are the ones that look at it alone. It doesn't compare well to much of the competition because it's so unlike the competition. It's not about being a weekend warrior, or a status symbol. It's a pure driver's car, and it WILL EXPOSE YOUR FLAWS. It's as bare as a modern street/track car can get, and they wanted to make a supercar-style vehicle available at a lower price point. Manual steering, 6-speed paddle shift w/launch control, MR layout, 2400lbs, 236hp, handmade CF monocoque. It's like a heavier, more powerful turbo Elise with Italian flair. It's a bit bigger so you don't feel as shoehorned into it, thus the weight gain.

I saw a 4C at toybarn and it was really cool. Only thing that I didn't like were the very small exhaust tips.

They're asking $6k over original MSRP for it and it's used :lolguy::lolguy::lolguy:

EDIT: and that exhaust is actually the track package exhaust, basically wide open except for the cat.

Pogea Racing makes a slightly different version already with more attractive tips. The upcoming 4C Spider will have an optional Akrapovic 2x Center tip design that IMO looks amazing.

http://www.carscoops.com/2015/06/new-alfa-romeo-giulia-this-is-really-it.html

I really like the look...reminds me of a modded G35/G37 sedan (a good thing). Looking forward to the specs on this thing when it comes out.

As a child and teen in the '80s and '90s, I still geek out at Milano's and 164's. Alfa Romeo injects a massive amount of Italian character into a relatively bland segment of the market (entry-luxury midsize sedans). There is a TON of competition these days, though...will see how it is received and how it sells...
