You are talking cars, not trucks right? I think there is somewhat of a difference in the execution of the two.

 

But yes, I think that is how they do it for slicks. For trucks they sandwich the bead with a bolt-on ring. Not sure if that is an option for cars? I would think so.

 

Now we can let the people who know what the heck they are talking about chime in :)

If you are talking about drag radials on a car then using permatex HI-TACK on the rim and tire works great. If it is on a slick you can screw them (makes tires tend to leak air)

Or a beadlock for any aplication is always the top end. I have went deep into the 7's glueing the drag radials.
