Limitedslip7
I recently had about $7k worth of tools (welder, generator, etc) stolen out of a good friends garage and an enclosed trailer. The thieves cut the padlocks off of the enclosed trailer that was sitting right behind the detached garage and stole my generator (~$1k), then pushed in the top of the garage door to get at the latch. Would it be worth trying to file a claim? Most of the stuff was mine, so I'm not sure if they would even cover it. I'm more worried about how much his premiums will go up if he does file a claim, as he just filed a claim for flood damage 3-4 years ago. jeffro
What kind of bullshit society do we live in where you pay for insurance, something you may or may not ever need, and when you do need it, they jack your rates up to cover the "cost". Not even worth having in the first place.
iwashmycar
Do YOU have insurance? I know renters insurance covers all your junk no matter where it is...and its like $100 / year! If YOU have homeowners I am wondering if it also does this?
